Spring

Springtime -- what a great time of the year. Everything is beginning to come out of its winter hiatus. LIFE begins anew!

For Granddaddy, it means BASEBALL. That's right, it is Spring training time for major league baseball. Granddaddy's favorite team is the Houston Astros, so he is anxiously watching their activity with an eye on the new manager. Should be an exciting year in baseball for Granddaddy!

For Grandmommy, it means making plans for this year's Cousin Camp. The date has not yet been set, but I am already searching for ideas and activities that my grandchildren will enjoy. I'll keep you updated on this year's plans.

For both Grandmommy and Granddaddy, Springtime means "fun in the yard." He has already put out the weed-'n-feed and Grandmommy is designing a fence/trellis for him to build for her climbing roses. We have a son getting married this year. The rehearsal dinner will be held in our yard, so we must get it all in tip-top shape! Of course, Grandmommy and Granddaddy do not need an excuse; we just love working in our yard!
