I’m going to write at least two posts about the changes in my life. This first one is about my prayer at Thanksgiving.
I have the most wonderful family in the whole wide world. If I need something, one of them will usually come through for me. Maybe not always, but, hey, we aren’t perfect…just wonderful!
That said…my children could not fill a need…I wanted to love and be loved. If that was out of reach for me, a date would be nice. So, I just talked to God about it.
This was at Thanksgiving. Little did I know what God had in store for me.
………….Abe.
God is so very very good….All The Time!

I love the Subaru commercial where the young man has lost his sunglasses. He and his lady backtrack everywhere they have been and … they were in his hoodie all along!
The next shot is what makes me smilie.
She just looks at him with JOY…No condemnation at all the time they just wasted or miles they drove….just pure JOY!
That is lovin’ your guy!

On Wednesday, I was helping in the lobby of the Bryan office. A young man who had just been released from State Jail was there to apply for emergency Food Stamps. He had no money and no family or friends in town, so no place to stay.
The office was not able to see him Wednesday and told him to come back at 10 on Thursday for an appointment. I had already given him a list of resources with the number for the homeless mission in town. So, he came to the phone near me and started calling.
They couldn’t help him that night because there was no counselor for him to talk to ( a requirement). They suggested a couple of other numbers for him…no luck. He also was trying to reach a church that had told his release office they would purchase a bus ticket to California (that is where his family lives). While he was trying to figure out what to do, we started talking. I asked him what church it was (I wasn’t sure of many churches that would be able to do more than purchase some food and help him out with a stay for the night). IT WAS MY CHURCH>>>FBC, Bryan. More…
