Taveras

Wow, I go to a wedding (more on that later), come home, and what? Willy T has done it again. (Can you tell that I REALLY like Willy? It could almost make me a Rockies fan which, by the way, I am for postseason.)

You can read all about it in this article by Tim Harding at MLB.com. It starts and ends with Willy T. –>

…Oh, that’s right, he’s with the Rockies now!

Willy Taveras

Making his first appearance since straining his right quad on Sept. 8, Taveras utilized his speed to spark the third-inning uprising. He reached on a one-out single, stole second base uncontested and scored on Matsui’s RBI single.

Just imagine, that could have been the Astros they were writing about. But, no, we traded him. Hmmmmm

Jim Molony has a lot to say about Willy T in his article subtitled “Rockies manager sees speed pay off in NLCS Game 1″.

Could have been the Astros they were writing about….Should have been….But I guess Jason Jennings was worth it. Right?

Willy T is gone

This is a very sad day in this household.  He is such fun to watch and to listen to the announcers talk about.

But the Astros were overrun with outfielders and he didn’t get much playing time.  I hope he does well with the Rockies.

Astros fans will miss him.  I know this is one family of fans that will miss him.

Do well, Willy. –>
