Grandmommy’s Notes in the Margin

Yep…that’s my daughter-in-law with Mr Willy Taveras in Atlanta after last night’s ballgame. Cheryl and Neil have tickets to all 3 games. I am so jealous.

They went early enough last night to catch batting practice. Even got a couple of balls from practice. They have one that was hit by either Willy T or Roger Clemons. They aren’t sure. One of the balls was laying on the ground. Cheryl hollered at Morgan Ensberg and he pitched it to her!! She hollered back, “We love you forever!!” (I just love my daughter-in-law!!)

At least the boys make it interesting!

Granddaddy and I love the Houston Astros. We will sit under the carport and listen to every game on the radio. We don’t live in Houston and we don’t have cable, so we can’t watch them on TV unless FOX picks up a game. Even then, we turn off the sound and listen to Milo Hamilton or the on-the-road announcers. We just love listening to Astros-on-the-radio.

Of course, that is not without it’s own problems. Very often, the signal gets weak and we can’t hear some of the most exciting plays of the game!! Nevertheless, More…

Well, my jury duty service has come and gone, but not without taking 3 days out of my life.  I am so behind at work, it will take me at least a month to catch up!!

The trial was a felony DWI.  In Texas that means there are at least 2 previous DWI convictions (misdemeanors) and it has escalated to a felony.
