Turkey…Turkey…Turkey

I never saw so much turkey. Uncle Steven smoked TWO and Uncle Glen brought one to fry!! It was all good, but WAY TOO MUCH!! I had a ham in the fridge to take out during the game and never did because it was TOO MUCH!!

I think next year, I will bake the turkey and tell everyone to keep their food at home, except for GAME SNACKS and DESSERTS.

I made three pies, but it was not enough.

I felt like the woman who had a turkey crash through the window.

Today I think we’ll go to Mi Pueblito’s and eat Mexican food!! –>

Game

I recently painted my dinette set (actually just in time for Cousin Camp). I painted the legs of the table with white, leaving the Formica top alone. I have 5 chairs and painted each of them as follows: pink, another shade of pink, blue, green and yellow…no orange.

I was helping to set up the game and started passing out the cards. It was hilarious. The cards match the chairs (except for orange who had to be another shade of pink)!! All have decided I have an Axis & Allies table!!

Russia had a hard time defending it’s homeland, but who cares about Russia anyway (except for Uncle Steven who was playing Russia and can’t speak the language. Besides he prefers a good beer over vodka anyday).

They fought to a draw. Actually, Uncle Matt was ready to go home and asked for a World Truce!! All agreed and vowed to return next year for a rematch!! –>

Happy

I baked until 10 last night. I’ve been up since 5 this morning. I don’t even have a turkey to bake (Uncle Steven did that already), but I have a ham.

Everyone will be here except the Pennsylvania babies. It’s okay. We’ll see them next month!! (Enjoy the wedding, by the way!!)

Georgia folks arrived yesterday and have been over for a quick visit. They look GREAT!! Didn’t realize how very much I was missing them.

Must get back to the kitchen…..but Happy Thanksgiving to everyone….especially Pennsylvania!! Here is a coloring page for you!!
