Couldn’t Resist

New Working Policy
Effective from April 23, 2008

Dress Code

It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary.
If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise.
If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise.
If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise.

Sick Days

We will no longer accept a doctor’s statement as proof of sickness.
If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Personal Days

Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year.
They are called Saturday & Sunday.

Toilet Use

Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper will retract, the stall door will open and a picture will be taken.
After your Second offense, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the “Chronic Offenders” category.
Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company’s mental health policy.

Lunch Break

Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that’s all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Thank you for your loyalty to our Company.

*Note: This is courtesy of Uncle Steven. He never sends me anything and really had me chuckling today. It kind of hit home with a lot of things that had been happening to me recently.

Thanks ‘teevy-boy

Grandpa Update

Robert has been just going along with a good week/bad week routine. This was supposed to be a good week, but he is in a terrible amount of pain. He has had to take morphine to be able to better manage the pain.

The chemo, of course, has a cumulative effect and it has been almost 4 months this time around. So, it is only to be expected that he is taking longer and longer to “bounce back”.

Robert is reaching the time when he and the doctor must decide whether or not he should take a break from treatment. They will meet early next week before his scheduled chemotherapy. I am praying for wisdom for both of them.

As many of you know, my sister was in the hospital for several days with a staph infection. She is still suffering from the effects of that, but she has been able to return to work. Please pray for her continued recovery. She is traveling this weekend to see her daughter and family in Redmond, Washington. My niece is expecting twins in July and wanted to hop on a plane when her mother was ill. But, of course, she could not have seen her. It will be a great time for the two of them.

Again, I just want you all to know that I thank the Lord for you everyday. Without our friends and prayer warriors, the last almost-18 months would have been very difficult.

May God shine on you today and everyday,
