Asking for Peace and Comfort

Dear Precious Friends

This is to let you all know that we have brought in Hospice to help
care for Robert. His health has deteriorated to the point that he
will not be receiving any more treatments. We had believed that
finding the root of the bleeding and stopping it would help restore
him to some health. However, he never regained any strength and is
quickly declining.

Please pray for his comfort and his homegoing. As John Free said,
Robert is so lucky because he will be soon face to face with Jesus.

Also pray for his children who will all miss his wit and wisdom so
terribly much. Robert has a very full quiver.

We love you and thank you so much for all your love.

Today, I have another medical dictionary lesson

Today I learned the word “puny”. It means weak, pale, fragile.

Pick one. They all apply to Robert.

But, Dr Jenkins said that is a medical term he learned as a 3rd year medical student. He said they save all the hard words for 3rd year.

Surely he wasn’t pulling my leg.

He would never try to make a joke about such things.

Would he??

Anyway, “PUNY” Robert was released from the hospital with orders to go home and eat and not take anymore Aleeve. I had better clean out the medicine cabinet!!!

He’s definitely on the road to recovery, but he is weak, pale, fragile, in pain.

You know…puny.

My Spelling Lesson

Okay. I have actually misspelled 2 words.

Robert has a variceal and Dr Dusold is a gastroenterologist.

I should have checked before I posted, especially since I detest bad grammar and bad spelling (even though I am often the guilty party)!!

Oh well. It’s corrected now.
